Active Matter anomalies

Active Matter anomalies on this page are the named threats from official news and the FAQ: Flowermen, Alpha Flowerman, Shy Girl, Scorch, Mimic Car, Alpha Mimic, Distorted, Turned Soldiers, and gravitational anomalies that let you run along walls and ceilings. Harvest Active Matter by killing AM-transformed creatures, taking it from other players, or picking it from clusters. Community names such as Swarm, Ball Lightning, and Dendroid are not first-party rows here. Survive the ones the Agency actually named, then extract.

ScorchCreatureNew monster in Fire Walk; shooting-range target after a note.

Alpha MimicCreaturePatch 0.4.0.78: Alpha Mimic no longer attacks through walls.
DistortedCreaturePatch 0.4.0.84 adjusted how Distorted react and wake so they do not chain-wake each other. Earlier news: Changes to the Distorted Hunter.
Turned SoldiersCreatureOfficial Steam news Who are the Turned Soldiers? names this AM-transformed threat.
Gravitational anomaliesAnomalyFAQ: gravitational anomalies can let you run along walls and ceilings. Steam copy: mind-bending anomalies change gravitational force and space topology.

Flowermen and the Alpha

Official copy: plants warped by Active Matter infect people. Flowermen attack in groups, nest around orange flowers, speed up near the nest, and use AM traps. That is enough to change a route. Do not farm a nest on a first Isolated run with an empty container.

Alpha Flowerman is the Gigastructure boss, described as the next evolutionary stage of the regular Flowerman. You meet it in the cyclic maze raid, not as a random roadside spawn. Who You Gonna Call? wants twelve different anomaly types eliminated as an operative. Alpha is one of the named types that count toward that variety, not a reskin without a row.

Turned Soldiers are AM-transformed threats named in Steam news (“Who are the Turned Soldiers?”). Distorted had a patch 0.4.0.84 change so they do not chain-wake each other, plus earlier notes on the Distorted Hunter. Those two rows are people-shaped problems rather than plant-shaped ones. Keep them off your extract path until you have a reason to hunt them.

Who are the Flowermen? is a Steam news headline, not a bestiary chapter. The row on this table is the whole official kit: group attackers, orange-flower nests, speed near the nest, AM traps. Add Alpha when you enter Gigastructure. Leave fan-named plants off the route until they appear in a patch note.

Fire Walk monsters and the car that is not a car

Fire Walk added Shy Girl and Scorch. Both later appear as shooting-range targets after a note. That range is practice, not a promise they are harmless in the field. Treat the range as a recognition tool so you do not empty a magazine into the wrong silhouette during a collapse.

Mimic Car is the warning written in official copy: a rusty Soviet car may be the deadliest enemy. Fire Walk framed it as a monster, not as scenery. If a car looks abandoned on a Dalniy road, assume it can move until you have extracted. Alpha Mimic, in patch 0.4.0.78, no longer attacks through walls. That patch note is the only first-party combat detail on the Alpha Mimic row.

I want to believe wants ten anomalous signals visited in raids. Secure, Contain, Protect wants a successful extract with the monster artifact in inventory. Those trophies are optional. They are also the only official hint that some anomalies drop an artifact worth sealing in the container.

Shy Girl and Scorch sharing a shooting-range note means the Agency expects you to learn their silhouettes. It does not mean they are range-only. If either walks a Dalniy road during Fire Walk leftovers, treat them as raid threats with the same extract rule as everything else.

Gravitational anomalies as movement, not decoration

The FAQ says gravitational anomalies can let you run along walls and ceilings. Steam copy says mind-bending anomalies change gravitational force and space topology. Together those sentences are a movement system. Use them to break line of sight or to reach an extract you cannot walk to, not as a sightseeing tour.

Physics Advantage wants an operative eliminated while you stand in an anomalous gravity zone. The gravity gun from Gigastructure is the offensive cousin of the same topology. Neither tool cancels the collapse timer.

The Floor Is Lava wants five traps activated in one raid. Traps are part of the same hostile architecture as nests and gravity pockets. On a first extract, walk around them. On a later Isolated run, they become a trophy route.

Steam store copy puts anomalies next to extraction as part of the same unstable fragment, not as a separate horde mode. If gravity dumps you off a roof, you still need a container and a door. The anomaly page is recognition. The extraction page is the rule that still applies after the wall-run.

The Floor Is Lava is five traps in one raid, which is a different interaction than wall-running. Traps, nests, gravity pockets, and Mimic Car are four ways the fragment tries to dump your kit. Learn the silhouette, then leave. The anomalies table is a recognition list, not a hunting license for a first Isolated run.
